Adsonica and Audioboost Introduce Audio Display Ads In Italy
Audio ads increase engagement by 50% or more over silent display ads
Wellesley, MA – January 10, 2022 – Adsonica®, the leading audio display advertising solution,
announced today the immediate availability of Adsonica audio ad units in Italy through
Audioboost, a leading native audio platform and Adsonica Reseller.
Adsonica’s display ads combine audio and image in a single image file, without video, coding, or
multiple file management and are targeted and served like an ordinary display ad. Advertisers
can take advantage of the company’s advanced audio-centric analytics to measure the audio
environment including Listen Rate, Listen-Through Rate, Engagement Rate, Clicks, Click-
Through Rate and Impressions. Adsonica’s patented software is licensed through Audioboost on
a cost-per-mille (CPM) basis.
"It's very exciting for Audioboost to be welcomed as Adsonica’s first European agency partner.
Our mission is to build an audio-first marketing environment where all forms of content can be
enjoyed in multiple audio formats,” said Cristina Pianura, a co-founder and CEO of Audioboost.
“Our partnership with Adsonica will enable us to introduce audio display ads to the Italian
market. We believe that Adsonica audio ads will add a new dimension and KPI, just as video ads
did ten years ago. We’re thrilled to be part of this new audio era with Adsonica."
With Audioboost any web article can be converted into a high quality podcast, turning digital
readers into listeners, and monetizing their audio consumption.
"I'm very excited to be working with Audioboost to bring the power of audio display ads to the
Italian market,” said William Agush, Founder & CEO of Adsonica. He continued, “these new ad
units increase engagement by 50% or more giving Audioboost’s clients a premium ad product
with only minimal production overhead. Advertisers can utilize existing display ad creative and
audio content so they can begin using Adsonica immediately."
About Adsonica
Adsonica patented technology combines image and non-image data into a single file for
advertising and web development. Founded in 2012, the company originally deployed the
technology in a consumer photo application, pivoting to exclusively ad tech in 2019. The
company’s investors and advisors include veterans of ad-tech, e-commerce, enterprise software
and new media.
About Audioboost
Audioboost was founded in 2021 by a group of digital visionaries who identified native audio as
a large opportunity in a sector that was just starting to develop. Among them was Davide
Schioppa, founder and CEO of Podcastory, the first content factory exclusively for audio in Italy.
He incubated the Audioboost project to provide the entire range of the audio offerings including
advertising technology. The company will continue to invest resources to create new standards,
new technologies, and new business opportunities in the native audio sector.
